(I wrote this poem when I was 26)
Sometimes I Just Know
By F. Vidal Beup Jr.
Sometimes I just know
The mountains are there
Quiet in their presence
To overwhelm me;
That rains fall
In cold remembrance
Of my sunny days.
Sometimes I just know
Winters can't be that cold,
And storms can't be too harsh.
I just know they're there
To remind me of your presence--
Much stronger,
Much more cruel
Than they are.
